Angels still exist - Derrick Bizimana

Angels still exist

When I first arrived in Germany, I met an incredible woman who has dedicated her time, energy, and personal resources to helping refugees and immigrants find their footing. She teaches language, integration, and the unspoken rules of life in a new country—all from her own pocket. Every Sunday, she leads city walks, showing newcomers the world they now call home.

Through my Bima Impakt project, I’ve had the privilege of capturing her journey—giving back through my lens to those who give selflessly. Some stories deserve to be seen, not just told.

When I first arrived in Germany, I met an incredible woman who dedicated her life to helping refugees and immigrants settle into their new lives. With her own resources, she teaches language, integration, and the cultural nuances of life here, offering guidance where it’s most needed. Every Sunday, she takes newcomers on walks around the city, showing them their new home.

Her selfless work inspired me to capture her journey through my Bima Impakt Project. Through this initiative, I give back to those who make a real difference in their communities. By volunteering my photography skills, I aim to document the people who quietly change lives, like this remarkable woman.

It’s not just about taking pictures—it’s about telling stories that need to be heard. This is her story, and I’m grateful to have been able to share it.
